Hi, I’m Becca! A spontaneous trip to Costa Rica during college sparked my love for traveling and I just can’t seem to snuff it out! I’m on a mission to visit 100 countries and I’m taking you along with me. My favorite place to explore is always the one I’ve just returned from, but some of my most treasured memories have been at the breathtaking Swiss Alps, the crystal-clear waters of Roatan, Honduras, and the ancient Acropolis in Athens.
FRANCE (PARIS) BUDGET GUIDE
One summer, we spent two months traveling through Europe. During the month of July we made Paris our home base, visiting nearby sites including Versailles, Disneyland Paris, and taking a weekend trip to the French Alps in Annecy. I’ll walk you through all our expenses and where we could’ve cut or splurged a little more.
WHERE TO STAY IN ROATAN
Where you choose to stay depends on the environment you’re looking for. Most of the tourist activity is on the western side of the island, near the airport. This side of Roatan faces the Yucatan peninsula, positioned on the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world.
WE’RE MOVING!
We’re moving! I am so excited to share this life update FINALLY! Not that it’s been a huge secret, but it’s been about ten months in the works. Next week, we pack up our life and move from Dallas, Texas to Boone, North Carolina.
Salt Lake City Hostel Review
Being a budget traveler, I’d never actually delved into the wonderful world of hostels. The idea of staying in a room with three to nineteen other people was unappealing and I don’t usually travel solo. However, on a solo trip to Salt Lake City, I was looking for accommodation on the cheap and SLC Hostel caught my eye.
OUR FIRST CRUISE EXPERIENCE
While we were spending a week in Roatan I got curious and started researching. To my surprise, cruising can be a very economical way to vacation. I booked a Transatlantic Cruise to Barcelonaand then got a little nervous at the idea of spending 16 days on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean so I decided to book a shorter cruise as a trial run.
EURO SUMMER BUDGET GUIDE
Two years ago, we had the incredible opportunity to spend the whole summer in Europe. By opportunity, I mean I got the idea in my head and scrimped, saved, and researched to make it happen. On our trip, we visited nine cities in five countries over 63 days. To pay for the trip, we used a combination of cash, credit card reward points, renting our house out on AirBnB, and gig work while abroad.
SUCCULENTS & CHARCUTERIE — BUSINESS LAUNCH PARTY
I had a unique challenge earlier this year helping a business owner plan a launch party. She wanted to introduce her services to the community, while showcasing her offerings in a fun and engaging way.
IN DEFENSE OF SLOW TRAVEL
There is so much pressure to do more, see more, consume more, that getting caught up in the whirlwind travel style is easy to do. Traveling slowly is a conscious mindset, reinforced by the small joys in everyday moments spent in a destination.
HOW TO SPEND FOUR DAYS IN VICTORIA

THIRTY, FLIRTY & THRIVING — SURPRISE PARTY
My sister-in-law turned 30 this year and I had the privilege of planning a surprise party to celebrate. Alyssa was born in the era of smash hit rom-coms and secretly dreamed of getting to be the real life Jenna Rink from the movie 13 Going on 30 for the last decade or so…

WHERE TO STAY IN FLORENCE
If you’ve got Florence, Italy on your must-visit list, you may be wondering which part of the city to stay in. Though small and very walkable, the city is broken out into distinct neighborhoods, rippling out around the Duomo, Florence’s top tourist attraction.
HOW WE TAKE WORK-ATIONS
As someone who caught the travel bug bad, I try to make the most out of every trip, big and small. One way I do this is by taking “work-ations” or working from the road. In this day and age, we have more flexibility than ever before. Work from home and flexible schedules, as well as expanded vacation packages make for plenty of opportunities to take working vacations.
SHOULD YOU VISIT VANCOUVER OR VICTORIA?
Should you visit Victoria or Vancouver on a trip to British Columbia? Both cities are fantastic destinations, each with their own unique charm and attractions, but you may have to choose one, based on limited time or funds.
MARY LOVE — 80 & FABULOUS
Cathy described Mary Love as a firecracker, vivacious and unstoppable, even at 80. So I set out to make her celebration a reflection of her life.
9 REASONS TO GET TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is one of those things that can feel like a scam, or a waste of money. Believe me, I used to feel the same way. But after losing quite a bit on trip deposits during COVID and worrying about whether future travel plans would come to fruition, I started shelling out for the extra coverage. Now, you wouldn’t catch me without it.
THINGS TO DO AROUND COLORADO SPRINGS
If you’re looking to escape into the mountains without hours of driving through windy roads post-flight, Colorado Springs is a great option. While you can hit the highlights in a long weekend, a week gives your body more time to acclimate to higher altitude and rest between strenuous activities.
HOLLY & THE BELLS — CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER
The idea: a magical afternoon of festive family fun, complete with hot cocoa bar, ornament decorating, letters to Santa, and of course, a killer Christmas concert by local band Matthew Bell & the Next of Kin.
